With 95,000 inhabitants, Suva is not only the capital, but also the largest city of the Fiji Islands. The city still breathes the flair of the British Empire, with green parks and beautiful old buildings. The greater Suva area extends in the rainy southeast over a 26 square km peninsula, the tropical Colo-I-Suva rainforest to the directly adjacent city of Nasinu, which was only separated from Suva in the 2000s. From the International Airport in Nadi you can reach Suva, for example, with one of the regular express buses. 4 Hours driving time or as a self-driver with a rental car. The smaller Nausori Airport is 30 minutes from Suva. In addition, the city is the destination of numerous guided tours, which, however, often only offer a day trip.
