Shanghai is located in the estuary of the Yangtze River on the Huangpu River and is the largest industrial city in China. Many sights can be admired here. For example, the Yuyuang Garden, which dates back to the Ming period and is an excellent example of traditional Chinese horticulture.



In the Old Town of Shanghai, next to the zigzag Bridge, there are many beautiful tea houses that invite you to relax with a cup of tea in between. Not to forget the “Bund”, the famous waterfront of Shanghai, where you can experience the hustle and bustle of the Huangpu River. Also a must-see is the Jade Buddha Temple from 1882. The temple houses a white Buddha figure made of white jade of inestimable value. If you want to go shopping, the Nanjing Lu offers itself. It is one of the largest shopping streets in the world. It is also worth a visit in the evening – you can then admire the colorful neon sign.
