Monte Carlo – Travel tips for the city of Monaco
The casino, the rally, the Formula 1 race and Grace Kelly. When you think of Monte-Carlo, you think of glamour, fun and big money. But the district in the dwarf state of Monaco has much more to offer. Immerse yourself in the fabulous world of the rich and beautiful and (maybe) even make dreams come true.
Monte-Carlo is one of nine municipalities in the Principality of Monaco and covers an area of 43.68 hectares, where a total of 15,200 people live. This makes the district in the principality one of the most densely populated places on Earth. The dwarf state of Monaco itself is visited by about 265,000 people every year and can claim the lowest crime rate in the world.
Beautiful location right on the French Riviera
Monte-Carlo is located on the French Riviera and is one of 9 municipalities in the Principality of Monaco. Eight kilometers east of the border of Monaco, Italy begins, to the west is the French municipality of Cap d’Ail, which has two very beautiful hiking trails that promise breathtaking views of the village, the sea and the mountains.
