Which country is Havana located?
Havana is located on the northwest coast of Cuba. This is where the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea meet. The chain of islands of the Greater Antilles, which includes Cuba, lies like a barrier in the water, separating the Gulf of Mexico from the Atlantic Ocean.

North of Havana, the Florida Keys are located in the sea. The archipelago is located in front of the US-American mainland and they form the southernmost point of the United States, after Hawaii. The Cuban capital was founded in 1519 and the choice of location was well thought out. The urban area of Havana stretches along the natural bay of Puerto de Carenas, which today houses the port of the metropolis. The sea bay was created by the Almendares River. In its delta there are three larger bays, in which the main ports of Atarés, Marimelena and Guanabacoa are located. The landscape on this stretch of coast is hilly, although the old town is almost at the height of the sea level. East and west of the city, the terrain rises and turns into hilly terrain.
Havana welcomes its visitors with a very special mix that makes up the charm of the Cuban capital: colorful colonial buildings, colorful vintage cars in Caribbean colors and cheerful residents who forget about material poverty with music and dance.
