Where in China is Changsha?
Changsha is an ancient Chinese city with over 7 million inhabitants, which surprises with a combination of modernity and antiquity. The city is located in the southeastern part of the country, in Hunan Province, on the Xiangjiang River. The settlement exists more than 2500 years.

Until the end of the 30s of the last century, Changsha, with its medieval streets and neighborhoods, has preserved many ancient architectural monuments. But the attacks of Japan during the Sino-Japanese War and large-scale fires completely changed the appearance of the city. Not far from Changsha, the politician and statesman Mao Zedong was born, so many attractions are dedicated to him.
The most remarkable is the 32-meter statue made of red granite on the island of Mandarin. You can also see the fortress wall in the city, the ancient tombs of Mawangdui, interesting museums and beautiful cafés of Chinese cuisine.
