Which country is Bhutan in?
Bhutan is a landlocked country in South Asia. On its northern border is China, namely the Tibet Autonomous Region. To the south is India with the states of Arunachai Pradesh, Assam, Bengal and Sikkim. Between these two large states is the small state of Bhutan, which is about the same size as Switzerland. Bhutan is located on the southern foothills of the Himalayan Mountains.

Bhutan can be roughly divided into three landscapes. The Duar Plain is located in the south of the country. The climate here is tropical and fertile, so the land is also used for agriculture. North of it, the land rises quite steeply to altitudes of 2000 to 3000 meters. This is the front Himalaya. Corn and rice are grown here. The capital Thimphu and other major cities are also located there. It is the main settlement area of Bhutan. In the north of the country, on the border with Tibet, lies the high mountain range Lunana. Here the yak herds of the country graze.
