The Principality of Andorra is geographically located on the eastern side of the Pyrenees. It is a small territory with an area of 468 km2 consisting of narrow valleys protected by the high peaks of the mountains.

The peak of Coma Pedrosa (2942 m) and the Port of Envalira (2408 m) are the highest geographical points of Andorra. Located at the height of the upper basin of the Valira River which runs through the country from side to side for 44 kilometers.

Andorra’s geographical location is inseparable from the valley carved out by the Valira River. This depression allows easy communication with Spain, in the southwest of the principality. On the other hand, the obstacle of the relief is more pronounced on the French side.
